Services

If our philosophy is slightly old-fashioned our equipment is anything but. The practice is fully computerised and offers the benefits of the very latest digitally enhanced panoral radiography. Each surgery is equipped to the highest standard and we have recently opened a ‘state-of-the-art’ area for decontamination and sterilization which provides the highest possible safeguard against cross-infection.

When we are satisfied that good oral health and preventive practice have been established we can offer the latest advances in cosmetic dentistry; ‘Procera’ crown and bridgework, porcelain inlays and veneers, tooth coloured fillings and tooth whitening. Dental Implants are now used routinely to replace missing teeth or to give strength and stability to existing dentures and we are pleased to be able to offer this wonderful option.

What it costs

The majority of our patients, adults as well as children, are seen under the N.H.S. dental system. Cost is determined by the complexity of treatment required and is divided into three bands. Treatment is free for children and for some groups of adults such as those on a low income and students under nineteen still in full time education. Details are available from reception or from the links to the B.D.A. or NHS. websites. A list of private fees can be requested directly from reception or via e-mail. We will always be sure to fully explain and give written confirmation of costs prior to any treatment being carried out.

Denplan

An increasing number of our patients are enjoying the benefits of paying a modest, regular monthly fee for the peace of mind of knowing that all their dental needs are taken care of. For the equivalent price of a daily newspaper the practices fees for all preventive and restorative work are covered. This allows the dentist to provide a more flexible approach and to spend more chair side time discussing and teaching preventive techniques. For more information, see our Finance page.
